Trade in my car

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Me and my dad when to the Jeff smith Kia in Perry, Ga. We were going to look at an SUV, something big for me and my son to ride in.

I drove around the front of the dealership, one of the sale persons came out. I told her that I was looking at the cars. So she took pictures of my car inside and outside. She told me to park my car, we got out and went in.

But it seems like they're trying to put you in a car that they want you in. I just wanted to look at cars and see what my trade value is. I was not going to buy a car there and then. Furthermore, I feel like they did me wrong.

She texted me while I was at work and ask me if my dad was going to do consigned. My dad said he was not going to do that. I named one of the SUV that I wanted to look at, but I know that it was expensive. They want me to pay 700 dollars for a car payment, that's too much for me.

I want to go down on my car payment. This was on a Wednesday last week.

But I have never been treated like that going to a dealership. I am never going back to Jeff smith Kia again, and I'm done with them...

Overall Terrible Experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
In the middle of last year (2018) I took my 2016 KIA Sedona in to have the airbag light which intermittently came on and off. After the technician looked at it they said nothing was wrong at all or could be done. Fast forward to March of 2019 a recall came out and we were contacted by the dealership to bring it in and have this issue fixed. My wife went and sat there for an hour just for them to tell her that they could not perform the recall fix due to a backorder. They told her they would contact her when the part was off backorder and able to be fixed. We had an appointment August 6th to have the recall done. We dropped the vehicle off and were told it would be an hour. After an hour goes by we received a phone call saying they could not do the recall because we had aftermarket leather put in the vehicle and not by their dealership. I spoke with the service manager Austin and he had this to say: they would do it and have to send the leather wrapper seat back and install a cloth seat bottom. I stated that the leather seat would not be going back and that i myself or the installer of it would take it off and give them the seat bottom back after. I am not sure when the customer is the one that has to provide solutions for the service team became the way of business but hey who knows. The vehicle was going to be gone for a full day and so i asked about getting a loaner vehicle since it was KIA who made the mistake and had this recall to which Austin replied no I have nothing with this KIA motor recall going. The lot is full of used vehicles that could be used as well as other options. I left and then called Way Brothers in Hawkinsville, GA who i bought my last two trucks from about a vehicle. Now, mind you this vehicle did not come from there nor are they a KIA dealer. They gladly gave my wife a vehicle so that she was not out and having to scramble to make tomorrow work with kids going to school and other plans. Would not recommend Jeff Smith to anyone at all. Save yourself the headache and helpless service manager.

Service Department Maintenance Services

I purchased my car from the dealership years ago and in the first year I had excellent service. The service became very dissapointing when they kept changing the employees and some employees trying to force me to get service elsewhere but by my contract of purchase I wanted the convience of getting my car serviced where I purchased my vehicle to get the best service. I did purchase a Honda Accord and when I'm not getting my maintenance at JeffSmithKia I take my car to the Honda Dealership for repairs and maintenance, a few months ago very recent I had an oilchange from JeffSmithKia service department after I drove off of the lot I felt that something was different when I drove my car so a couple of days I contacted the dealership on line and no one responded so I tried again and thirdly I spoke to Hunter a representative of JeffSmithKia who informed me someone would contact me, they did not nor leave a message for me to return their call. My ac went out so I took my car to Honda Dealership to do a diagnostic and repair they told me that my cluth and compressor stopped working. I just found out that my oil maintenace indicators where turned off and it has to be from an oil change by service department at JeffSmithKia I really have not had problems with them however this is a major concern.

Takes forever to get oil changed.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
It takes multiple hours to get an oil change. They don't care about you after you buy. Flies are everywhere. Deal with any other dealership but these crooks. It's hot and pretty boring waiting on your car to be serviced. Seems like they will hire anybody to work here. I will not ever buy from jeff smith again. I don't think he even keeps up with whats going on. Seriously, stay away from these people. Im sure anybody else will give you a better deal and will treat you like you bought a car from them. Stay away from jeff smith.

Jeff Smith Auto - 2014 Kia Sedona Review from Navarre, Florida

I took my 2014 Kia Sodona for the third time to get my door fixed at Jeff's Smith Kia in Perry Georgia. The last time they kept my car for four days and the only thing that was done was to grease my doors. This did not fix the problem as the problem is with the latch. I went today and waited for 2 hours to discover my car was sitting in the parking lot. The service manager refuses to order a latch and I was told that I could make another appointment since they were willing to take me home and leave me but I would have to find a ride back to Perry which is 19 miles one way from my home. I am 85 years old and the last time I was there they parked my van down the hill ,brought me my keys and told me my car was ready and it was pouring down rain. I bought my car from this dealership and I was treated excellent when I was purchasing. In fact I came back and bought my grandson a new Kia Soul. I have a brand new van with 9000 miles and I can't get a door fixed? I am one very unsatisfied customer.

Disaster!! Jeff Smith Kia Warner Robins/Perry Disaster!!!

From the beginning we were lied to by sales person Kyle Compton (who was later fired), and now works at Jeff Smith in Byron... followed by Adrian "AJ" Johnson, who was later fired and now works at Jeff Smith in Perry GA...about what our warranty covers. The vehicle we bought has been in the shop for repairs 5 times since we purchased it 8 months ago. To include 2 safety recalls that they neglected to fix/inform us about while it was in the shop numerous times. Furthermore, "AJ" changed the mileage on the vehicle to reflect fewer miles than what was actually on the car. By doing this, our warranty (by mileage) is now expired. Funny because the press paper copies we have, display the vehicles odometer miles and the Jeff smith record systems "top copy" has the "incorrect mileage". A services manager at Jeff smith in perry said, "you can clearly see where something was placed under the top copy so it wouldn't transfer to the customer copies...how convenient! We have had the entire rack and pinion replaced, tie rods, wheels, stop lamp switch, window regulator switch, engine start switch, key fob and now the shifter have all failed!

Watch out, he sells fords in Byron now!

Kyle Compton was our salesman and took on the responsibility of the sale. After reading this negative feedback he just called my personal phone screaming that "AJ" screwed us not him and that he would hire a lawyer because of slander, crooks all around and very unprofessional.

Not even a single apology about the many problems and inconveniences with the entire situation to which he still refuses to help or acknowledge.

I encourage this to be shared and will continue to inform the public of the wrong doings of these induviduals. BUYERS BEWARE.

KYLE COMPTON and ADRIAN JOHNSON, don't forget these names when buying a car in middle Georgia.

Guest

The Sales person Kyle Compton Had nothing to do with what was going on with the finance, it was his job just to show the car as a salesman. He was not fired for this neither was A.J.

seems like he just got a bad Kia. which we have fixed all there problems here at jeff smith

Terrible smell in vent system

I have a 2011 Kia Soul and after owning the vehicle for only 8 months a TERRIBLE smell began to come out of the vent system when I turn on the air/heat. I have had the car detailed and the vent system cleaned (2x). Kia says they can't figure out what is wrong. A BRAND NEW car should not smell. This is insane and I need some help with this please. I do not want to continue to make car payments on a car which has an offensive odor. Others who have riden in the car with me agree. There is a very unpleasant smell.

My friend just bought a 2016 Kia Soul today and their is such a toxic odor that her eyes are burning and her lungs are hurting! She does not know what to do and I am reading a lot about Kia Soul being on the 10 worst list for Toxic chemicals. Yhis brand new car will be useless to her if this smell continues and she has 4 years of payments!

My mom just bought a 2016 Kia Soul and it reeks of urine. She and my step dad do not smell it.

I can not ride in the car without getting nauseated and holding my nose! I don't get any smell coming directly out of the A/C vents. I figured someone who test drove the car had peed themselves!!

Are all of you who say it's the A/C actually smelling it coming out of the vents? I'm curious if I should take the steps suggested to clean the A/C....

Guest

It's most likely mold in your vents, Kia should be covering this!

Guest

I have the same problem

Guest

I to have a kia soul 2012 it developed a smell about 6 mths ago. I was told it happens to some kia, but there is no recall on it YET!

I have replaced the cabin filter again it helped for a short time.

I was told they could deodorize the system for a BIG fee, but it would probably not help. Lol thinking of selling it and buying another brand.

Guest

I, too, have a 2011 Kia Soul. I reported a smell from the vent system last year.

Kia sprayed a deodorizer that failed to overcome the problem. Now, as of yesterday, they have torn the heating system apart, an 8-10 hour job, and saying if it is an animal carcass it will be my responsibility and not covered by warranty. This concerns me since the smell has been there since I bought it new and reported repeatedly over the last year. I've spoken to Kia Canada and laughingly indicated if it is a mouse, for example, I may want its DNA tested to see where the animal came from.

I'm still waiting the outcome.

If I am asked to pay the labour on this repair I may not be driving the vehicle home. They can keep it.

Guest

Nope smell did not come from ME as you so rudely stated. The smell is coming from the VENT!!!

I did not go on this site to be personally attacked.

I was hoping someone could explain how to fix the problem. I do not eat or drink in the car.

Guest

Allow me to explain. You bought a car that did not smell.

You alone used it for 8 months. Now the car smells.

Where do you think that smell came from? Hint: YOU
